We’ve got that natural color!All of the local ladies are laying regularly now, so don’t forget to contact your local farmer to get your eggs before Easter Sunday. Ours are fed a soy free certificate organic grain and share our hoop house with the mama sows in the winter and follow our cattle around the farm through the summer. Today I found my first arrowhead on the farm. I’ve had my eyes pealed my whole life and always wondered about the hands and lives that moved across this same ground long before us. Holding this small stone tool stopped me in my tracks.The people who lived here first knew how to belong to a place. They followed the seasons, took what they needed, and cared for the land in ways that kept it alive for generations. There’s a humility in that relationship that modern agriculture often forgets.At the G Farm we’re trying, in our small way, to remember to work with the rhythms of soil, grass, animals, and season instead of against them.
